Love this place! I come here mainly to satisfy my turon cravings and usually get like 8-10 turon at a time to hit their minimum spend for using credit card instead of cash (cash only below $10 I believe). I love that their turon is the perfect level of sweet, and the crisp on the outside is just *ugh* so good. My favorite part is that the turon actually holds its crisp pretty well, like a few days even, and it also reheats well in the air fryer too! This is helpful since I tend to buy more than I eat in a day haha, so I end up saving them for throughout the week. Prices are fair, and the inside is clean. They have a huge variety of Filipino desserts/pastries on display too, and they tempt me every time. Would definitely recommend if you're craving sweets!

Ube centric. Very vast assortment of goods. Bread was fresh, ube was perfect. Chicken empanadas were spot on. I would've like some variety. But they do what they do best.

I enjoy going to this location. They have fresh out of the oven pandesal (bread). Once in a while I purchase fresh bread and other treats for my family. There's a lot of variety of breads and desserts (sweet or savory). You have to go here early when it a a major holiday. Be prepared for the long lines. Sometimes the line is outside the door. There are employees restocking often, manning the registers or even in the back of the bakery.

Great venue for Filipino baked goods, pastries, and desserts! Prices have steadily gone up due to inflation but it's always a must have when it's holiday season. Pretty packed around a Sunday afternoon with so many people getting last minute desserts for holiday dinners. My family loves their dessert platter and I love their ube crinkles. All natural and fresh to order each day.

I love Filipino baked goods. The items that stand out here for me are their ube type pastries. They carry so many kinds of Filipino desserts, bread, and pastries. This place can get busy during the weekend. It's a small bakery in the Seafood City plaza. Parking lot shared with other businesses.

Whenever we are in the area we always have to stop by. This is the second place where I like to get hopias. I like the ones they have here compared to other places we tried. This place is always super busy. Every time we stop by there is a long line but it goes by pretty quick. They didn't have the hopias pre packaged and they are quite pricey too. One order is only 4 pieces and cost $5.89. I ordered 2 orders of the hopia monggo and 1 order of hopia ube for my uncle.

Give the ladies a high five for excellent service and the lines are not as long as before. This is my number #1 for Filipino baked breads, empanadas, turons and hopia. I can't get enough of them freshly bake hopia ube along with chicken empanadas for a small space it's fully stock and I prefer this location than the one in San Jose. Best to come by early in the day than later when it gets busy with shoppers.

For all your Filipino bakery needs, Valerio's Tropical Bake Shop is my family's go to. I love how when you walk in, you get a smell of the baked goods. They're all individually wrapped and there are some on display. I love anything Ube (for the culture) and they have ube ensaymada, ube basket, ube pan de sal -- pretty much alllll the things! Notable other baked goods include the line apply cheese cream, siopao, puto, sapin sapin... and many others! They're reasonably priced and well loved by my family!

I love visiting Valerio's when I visit my hometown. I was excited to find that they have the same bakery in northern California. These are what I purchased during my recent trip: Ube pan de sal - The bread is perfectly moist and fluffy. It is not too sweet and there is plenty of ube flavor. There are a lot of rolls that come in each bag. Ube bread - Each bread roll is filled with ube paste with just the right ratio of both to ensure a bit of ube with every bite. The paste is not overly sweet, which is what I like about this bread. Hopia ube - Ube paste in a light, flaky pastry. There is definitely more Ube than pastry. Again, like the ube bread, the paste was not overly sweet. They had a ton of other baked goods that I haven't tried yet. That just means I'll be back! The shop is clean and organized. They share a parking lot with Seafood City and several other small shops and restaurants, so parking can be a bit tough during peak times.

This review is strictly regarding Valerio's pandesal [filipino sweet rolls]. A big thank you to my Father-in-law for always being ready and willing to make the drive to Valerio's Tropical Bake Shop in order to satisfy my little monster's cravings for these delicious baked rolls. Whether you are in need of a quick breakfast, craving for a hearty sandwich, or simply demanding carbs, I highly recommend the pandesal. The rolls of breads are generous in size, very versatile to work with at any meal [whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner], and are so very filling. They are made fresh and are ALWAYS fluffy and soft. The parking situation is plentiful but be advised that foot traffic can be tough depending on your time of visit. Service isn't great nor is it friendly but our visits are quick so I try not to let it bother me too much. 4 stars specifically for the taste and quality. Pricing isn't going to break the bank either!! WHOO HOO!!!!
